DSHRM Members and associated HR Professionals:
Thank you to all those who participated in the 40 year celebration of the chapter.
I am very excited to see what the future holds for the DuPage chapter of SHRM!
As an individual, I personally, professionally, and habitually seek out ways to grow and develop. It is in the variety of professional growth and development opportunties that I find significant value and benefit from my involvement in the DuPage SHRM chapter and the SHRM national organizations. Because of the dedication of volunteers like you, both organizations are able to deliver high-quality, relevant professional development and networking opportunities for human resource professionals. Service on the local affiliate chapter's leadership team is an excellent way to build on your current professional experience and grow through peer-to-peer interactions.
We are looking for people able and willing to roll up their sleeves and work with us in the advancement of the HR profession.
All members are encouraged to review the benefits of board service and the list of

Finally, here are two resources from which I recently found growth and development benefit:
Currently reading: Primed to Perform, by Neel Doshi and Lindsay McGregor
Discusses how to build the highest performing cultures through the science of total motivation.
Found this impactful article: in the HR Leader on 8/29/2019 A Letter to New Leaders by Joseph Schneider
Encourages leaders to practice the habit of Look - Prepare - Deliver in their efforts to build success.
We are better when we work (and grow and learn) together!
With warm regard,
